Tonka Film & Consult launches in Heidelberg as a boutique production company for feature and documentary films – combined with a consulting practice for film companies, producers, festivals and institutions.
It starts with the documentary trilogy AFTER: part one, AFTER: POETRY DESTROYS SILENCE featuring Academy Award winner Melissa Leo, is complete and distributed in North America by Grasshopper Film. In development are part two, AFTER: POETRY OF NOW & RESILIENCE, and a period piece trilogy about Elisabeth Charlotte d’Orléans – Liselotte of the Palatinate, who was born in Heidelberg.
